Environmental Chemistry

The Environmental Chemistry group research areas cover the circulation of pollutants in the environment and oil shale production by-product utilisation for the benefit of economic growth. The group provides the following services:

Environmental surveillance;

Waste material characterisation;

Charactersiation of short- and long-term impact of granular materials and the leaching behaviour or monolithic materials;

Chemical analysis of solid materials and solutions and the toxicity characterisation of water leachates (in collaboration with other laboratories).
