About us

The research activities range from studying fundamental aspects to applications. Strong emphasis is given to the deployment of modern physical methods in chemistry and biochemistry:

Terahertz Spectroscopy and Low Temperature Physics

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

Nonlinear Spectroscopy

Emerging Quantum Frustrated Magnets

Environmental Chemistry

The Centre of Excellence of Analytical Spectrometry was formed on the basis of six research groups of the Laboratory of Chemical Physics of NICPB and one biology-related research group on the Dec. 13, 2001 decree no. 855 of the Ministry of Education, see the activity report from 2004.

The laboratory also provides services as a reference laboratory, performs environmental monitoring and general chemical analyses. In addition, the facilities are used for advanced degree studies.
