The SPS-200 and SPS-300 are far infrared Martin-Puplett type interferometers produced by Sciencetech Inc., London, Ontario featuring a large diameter polarizing beamspiltter, which makes it very efficient at terahertz frequencies. The SPS software package was first developed in prof. T. Timusk’s laboratory at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, McMaster University, Ontario, Canada, summarizing thirty years of experience in infrared spectroscopy. It has been written in LabVIEW with the objective of being well suited for the most demanding research, while at the same time remaining user-friendly and easy to operate.
Since 2001 the software is maintained and developed at the National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics, Tallinn, Estonia under a collaboration agreement with Sciencetech Inc.
