The project title is &#8216;Parcel and luggage scanner based on natural\u00a0atmospheric radiation&#8217;\u00a0(project no 2014- 2020.4.02.22-0411) and the time period from Sept 20, 2021 to\u00a0Dec 31, 2023.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><br class=\"\" \/>In the project, GScan will develop a fully automatic system based on natural atmospheric radiation\u00a0tomograph. The device is intended for use in\u00a0customs\u00a0and\u00a0security systems: luggage, scanning people,\u00a0cars, containers, etc. Technology detects objects\u00a0atomic composition\u00a0and\u00a0automatically signals\u00a0explosives, drugs, \u00a0prohibited, dangerous\u00a0or\u00a0undeclared goods. KBFI researches and develops the tomography and reconstruction algorithms and detector technology.<br class=\"\" \/><br class=\"\" \/>The project aims to further develop existing technology in order to reduce the cost of the tomograph. The\u00a0project will be further developed\u00a0detector technology,\u00a0signal processing electronics\u00a0and\u00a0reconstruction\u00a0algorithms, as the most important factors influencing the cost of the device. During the project a\u00a0prototype based on the new technology is completed and\u00a0pilot measurements are carried out at the end\u00a0consumer. The cost of the technology is estimated on the basis of the created prototype reduction\u00a0compared to the current situation.<br class=\"\" \/><br class=\"\" \/>The project is financed by the\u00a0European Regional Development Fund\u00a0with\u00a0\u20ac1 468 500.
